The PRC Shotgun House Tour is back!


NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Shotgun houses are an integral part of historic New Orleans architecture, but can they meet the needs of a modern family? On June 11 and 12, the Preservation Resource Center Shotgun House Tour, presented by Entablature design + construction and Entablature Real Estatewill open the doors to five stunning private shotgun homes, all with smart and innovative renovations that showcase the livability and versatility of the city’s favorite home type.

PRIME: The tour also includes the beautifully restored Hales Cottage on the Children’s Hospital campus. Hales Cottage is one of the oldest buildings in Uptown New Orleans, with portions of its wooden wall frames dating from the late 18and century.

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.

OR: The tour takes place in the Audubon Riverside neighborhood in Uptown New Orleans. Visit hHeadquarter:St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 600 Eleonore St. The historic church building will be open to visitors to view its beautiful stained glass windows during visiting hours.

WHY: The annual Shotgun House Tour is a fundraiser for the Preservation Resource Center. Money generated from the event supports education and awareness, advocacy, revival grants, and other PRC programs that work to preserve New York’s historic architecture, neighborhoods, and cultural identity. -Orleans.

TICKETS: Visit tickets in advance: $25 for PRC members, $30 for non-members on *Presale of tickets ends at noon on Friday, June 10.
