Look inside Lakewood on the 2022 Lakewood House Tour

12223 Madison Avenue is a must inside.

Too much time spent looking at your four walls? The Lakewood Historical Society invites you to experience some of the finest architecture in the community during the Lakewood House Tour: Look Inside Lakewood on Sunday, September 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The highly anticipated event is back after a four-year hiatus.

Eight historic homes provide a glimpse of Lakewood’s past with a contemporary twist. These beautiful residences include a one-of-a-kind home in a converted bank building, an iconic mid-century landmark, a property with stunning views of Lake Erie, as well as Tudor, Victorian, and Colonial gems. These are the houses you’ve driven through and wondered what they looked like on the inside; now is your chance to find out.
Touring gives you a glimpse into history, where meticulous craftsmanship and quality materials were uncompromising standards of construction. The houses featured, all chosen by community nominations, were built between 1894 and 1965. Although some have had recent additions and refinements, the owners have maintained the architectural integrity of their dwellings, making these residences are veritable showcases of yesteryear.

Can’t wait to go on tour? You can start the House Tour weekend a day earlier during the Patron Party on Saturday, September 10. The party will be held at a house that is not on Sunday’s tour, so it’s a great opportunity to visit another beautiful Lakewood residence. Savor fine dining while mingling with friends and plan your exploration for the next day.

Patron Party tickets are $85 and include Sunday House Tour tickets.

Tickets for the house tour are $30, with sales starting this Saturday at the Lakewood Arts Festival, online at lakewoodhistory.org, and at the following Lakewood retailers.
