Changing times, changing styles: Look inside the 2022 Lakewood home tour

[ad_1]

From an 1890s Queen Anne Victorian to a contemporary 1960s, and a host of styles in between, you are invited to explore some of Lakewood’s architectural treasures on the Lakewood House Tour: Look Inside Lakewood, Sunday, September 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. :00h.

Eight stunning homes are up for grabs, including a house that was built before Lakewood was Lakewood (we were once the township of East Rockport) and a bank that has been turned into a personal residence. Rounding out your tour experience is a lakeside mid-century modern, charming colonial, vernacular with an impressive garage workshop, American foursquare and Tudor style, complete with tower.

Four years have passed since the last House Tour, so if you can’t wait another day, plan to attend the Patron Party on Saturday September 10th. The party will take place in a house you won’t see during Sunday’s visit – a traditional 1916 style masterfully integrated with 21st century venues. Mingle with friends, savor fine cuisine and plan your sightseeing experience. Patron Party tickets are $85 and include tickets for the Sunday house tour.

Tickets for the house tour are $30 and are on sale now online at lakewoodhistory.org and at the following Lakewood retailers. Your ticket purchase benefits the Lakewood Historical Society and its many programs designed to preserve our community’s past for the future.
