Oyo State Deputy Governor Rauf Olaniyan resumed his new duties at the state Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources on Tuesday, saying his relocation should not be considered beyond of an administrative arrangement.

Olaniyan’s resumption to his new office is in accordance with a letter dated June 17, 2022, signed by the State Government Secretary, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun, conveying Governor Seyi Makinde’s endorsement that the office of Deputy Governor be transferred to the Ministry of the Environment. and natural resources.

Speaking to reporters in his new office, Olaniyan said the change in office did not affect his functioning as deputy governor, adding that it was his responsibility to comply with the directives of the constituted authorities.

He played down insinuations of a political witch hunt or alienation from the seat of power, pointing out that he handled about four official issues in his new office on Tuesday.

Asked if the House of Assembly was starting impeachment processes against him, Olaniyan simply replied, “No comment.”

Olaniyan added, “It’s still the deputy governor’s office. The office is very decent. I can work from anywhere.

“I have been in the civil service for 28 years, I haven’t received a request for a day. So why should I receive a letter informing me that the governor of the state has ordered this and I do not will not comply?

“I was not moved by insubordination by the former governors with whom, by the glory of God, I had the opportunity to work with them. Why should this be an exception? I comply with the directives of the constituted authorities.

“According to the constitution, the capacity of a deputy governor is that you are the chairman of the state boundary committee.

“Everyone has to stay calm. The move is not beyond the administrative arrangements. Many people can see it beyond that; I don’t see it beyond.

“This is not a witch hunt.

“This morning, I attended official questions on this new table. I handled about four issues with the National Emergency Management Agency (SEMA). My pen does not change; my writing remains.

“I don’t feel alienated from the seat of power.”

Calling all crabs! As the sun enters the fourth sign of the zodiac from June 21 to July 22, we celebrate Cancer, the sentimental water sign with an innate desire to nurture. “The house crab likes to turn its personal space into a sanctuary. Cultivating a sense of home comfort helps them relax and unwind,” says Sanctuary astrologer Lauren Ash. “Cancers love having fresh flowers in their homes. They want to treat their house well,” adds astrologer Lisa Stardust. To help crabs incorporate natural beauty into their habitats, VERANDA The editors have enlisted Birmingham florist Mark Thompson to design an arrangement that brings the Cancers characteristics to life.

Becky Stayner. Styling: Sara Clark

Thompson created an ethereal, monochromatic display with fragrant garden roses, spear-shaped snapdragons, delicate sugar pea vines, prickly Nile lily and wispy Queen Anne lace. As the only zodiac sign ruled by the moon, Cancers are represented by the color white as a symbol of purity and luminosity. “Moon-ruled Cancerians are most in tune with their emotions and the feelings of others. They attract friends, relationships, and lovers through their loyalty, commitment, and openness,” Ash explains. “The color white helps this sign tap into their sensitivity and emotional intelligence at their deepest level.”

Cancers also seek out aromatic flowers, such as lilies and roses, to cultivate a sense of peace in their home, as their emotions are constantly changing. “These scents provide a very soothing scent to soothe a Cancer’s mood swings and allow them to be more grounded,” Ash explains. Thompson added visual interest to the monochrome arrangement by layering a variety of shapes and textures, nodding to the ebb and flow of a Cancer’s emotions. The shape of the bouquet appeals to the romantic side of the crab. “This sentimental sign loves romantic displays of affection, so when it comes to flower arrangements, a classic shape with roses is perfect,” says Ash.

The 23-year-old admitted he was ‘disgusted’ with the change and was adamant he wanted to stay with Gemma and put ‘all his eggs in one basket’. At night, he chose to sleep in the kennel rather than in bed with his new companion.

Yet Gemma did not join him and instead climbed into his bed and settled down for the night next to his original partner, Davide, in the master bedroom.

Some viewers also thought Luca’s reaction was a step too far and disrespectful to his new partner, Danica.

Gemma admitted she also felt like she was back to ‘day one’ by returning to Davide.

TIRUCHY: The poor parking lot layout at the Srirangam Government Hospital in the district has proven to be an additional source of worry for its patients and attendants as they fear for the safety of their vehicles, which they often have to to park at least 100 meters from the health center. They urge the administration to allow parking again in front of the hospital, sealed off two years ago.

The hospital sees an average daily attendance of 1,000 outpatients and 70 inpatients and currently has on-site parking that could only accommodate around 20 two-wheelers at a time, including staff. The space in front of the hospital, at the edge of the road, which was used by visitors to park their two-wheelers, was cordoned off by management about two years ago following complaints from non-visitors also using the space for park their vehicles. Four-wheeled vehicles, meanwhile, are only allowed to pick up and drop off patients due to space constraints.

This left the majority of hospital visitors with little choice but to park their vehicle at least 100 yards away. Patients said they took up the matter with hospital management, but to no avail.

A Sivaprakasam, who visited the hospital on Friday, said: “Until two years ago, we could park our vehicle anywhere. When I visited the hospital last week, there was no parking inside or outside the campus. I had no choice but to park my two-wheeler far away, without any security, and walk to the hospital, he added.

“Vehicles are more likely to be stolen because they are parked elsewhere. The huge space on either side of the hospital entrance is useless. Therefore, it is appropriate to allow vehicles to park there and check whether only hospital visitors use it,” he added.

A 49-year-old man, requesting anonymity, said: “More than 2,000 people come to the hospital every day for medical treatment. However, everyone is struggling to park vehicles in the hospital.

When contacted, the Joint Director of Health Services (JDHS), Dr S Lakshmi, told TNIE that the space previously available in front of the hospital for parking had been cordoned off due to misuse. by the public. “We allow patients to park their two-wheelers on campus. However, there is no place for all vehicles. Some park their vehicles near the Srirangam zonal office.”

“Online teaching is now seen as a palliative” | Bombay News https://drafthouseshelton.com/online-teaching-is-now-seen-as-a-palliative-bombay-news/ Sat, 18 Jun 2022 21:37:00 +0000 https://drafthouseshelton.com/online-teaching-is-now-seen-as-a-palliative-bombay-news/ Mumbai: Even though the coaching classes are running around the clock, they say the demand came from students and parents, who felt they wanted to prepare harder for the upcoming JEE exams. “After learning online for two years in a solitary environment, the students opted for in-person instruction and community learning. Mumbai: Even though the coaching classes are running around the clock, they say the demand came from students and parents, who felt they wanted to prepare harder for the upcoming JEE exams. “After learning online for two years in a solitary environment, the students opted for in-person instruction and community learning. While some wanted intensive coaching, for others it was about clarifying doubts, taking more tests,” said Praveen Tyagi, Founder of IITians Pace.
While there were around 10,000 students on this academy’s rolls before the pandemic, that number was crossed last month even as enrollment will continue for a few more weeks. Similar to his idea, Gyanmandir Coaching Class organizes ‘Abhyaas Mitras’ (study with a senior) for all his students. “Essentially, for the last six months, after the course is over, students wait, study with a mentor, complete their homework, take a little test and then go home,” said course owner Pradeep Zore.
The concept is embraced by several tutorials that find students returning to class with learning gaps and misplaced concepts. “Students who were online in Class VIII and IX have entered Class X with so much catching up to do,” said Vice President of the Maharashtra Coaching Class Owners Association, Prajesh Trotsky. It’s not just senior students who face challenges. “There are those in elementary school who never really wrote and who entered the second or third year. Weekends are used to identify areas that need to be worked on.
Trotsky, who acknowledged that tutorials were back with more signups, were hiring professors and buying additional infrastructure, said they would have to step up to meet big challenges.
“Students and parents have realized that online teaching can be a stop-gap arrangement, it can serve as a teaching aid or backup for a missed lesson or for review. But the energy that a teacher, a guru gives off, is only possible in a physical space,” he said.
To study circle, aspiring CAs will complete a bridging program before beginning to prepare for the professional course. To classify XII class of 2022 graduates did not take a class X exam and the last two years were online.
“Students don’t know the basics of accounting, mathematics, and they have lost the habit of writing. This course will help them accelerate to the level they are supposed to have before starting the CA course,” said Jinesh Shahowner of Study Circle.
And the candidates who lost the timestamp of their college career in the past two years felt it was time to exercise their long-unused mental reflexes. Probably therefore, even edtech companies founded on the premise that online education is here to stay, have also sensed the post-pandemic desire among students to learn via the old-fashioned face-to-face method and shifted to physical classrooms. .
And classes that have been forced to turn to wired instruction during the shutdowns haven’t disbanded their Zoom classes, but that’s to resolve late-night doubts or for additional sessions. Almost everyone still offers education in hybrid mode and is available for ATL.

With wedding season in full bloom, soon-to-be married couples are busy planning their blessed unions, and, in many cases, that means shelling out a fortune. The average cost of a wedding in the United States in 2021 was $22,500, according to data from WeddingWire. Of this number, approximately $1,500 was spent on flower arrangements.

Rising Gas Prices: The True Cost of Electricity

One of the easiest ways to reduce your overall wedding costs is to be flexible with your flower arrangements. Let’s explore all the ways to save on the historic but expensive tradition of decorating your meeting rooms with beautiful flowers – without sacrificing elegance and presentation.

Best Savings Accounts: Choose a high interest savings account from our top banks with rates 5 to 10 times the national average and start saving today.

Be upfront about your budget and be flexible with your florist

“A good florist won’t lie and tell you they can work with your budget if they can’t,” said Kate Blott, marketing manager at Atlas Flowers. “Even if you have very specific ideas about what you want to achieve, use their experience to guide you to the right choices based on your budget and don’t be pressured into making adjustments to spend more. There are so many amazing products out there that there will likely be more than one cheaper alternative to the most expensive option, so be flexible.

POLL: Are you worried that Social Security benefits will be cut in your lifetime?

Choose less traditional flowers

“There are flowers that just scream ‘wedding’ — notably, things like roses and lilies,” said Julie Ramhold, consumer analyst at DealNews.com. “But if you think outside the box, you might find that you can save a ton just by going for cheaper flowers, or ones that are in less demand, especially if you’re getting married at the height of wedding season. Consider making your flower arrangements from carnations, chrysanthemums and freesias for a cheaper alternative to the highly sought-after peonies, hydrangeas and gardenias.

Share your flower arrangements with another couple

“I would also strongly advise you to inquire to see if it is possible to share your flower arrangements with other couples who are getting married in the days leading up to/before your wedding (at the same location),” said Allison Williams, Editor in Chief. on eternal occasion. “You can share the cost, often get better flowers from it, and it also saves your florist same day time arranging/installing them.”

Getting married in a garden

“Instead of opting for a traditional venue that requires flowers, like a church or banquet hall, consider getting married in a garden or other already beautiful outdoor space,” said Tia Mula, Founder of Live & Wed. . “Not only will you save money on floral arrangements, but you’ll also have the added benefit of stunning natural scenery as your backdrop.”

Use a venue that includes decor

“A raw space may seem cheaper, but remember that you have to fill it with decor, i.e. flowers,” said Rachel Silver, Founder and CEO of Love Stories TV. “If you find a place that is already a beautiful space and/or an outdoor ceremony location in a garden for example, you need a lot less flowers and decoration. Speak to a florist or planner at the same time as you evaluate the venues to find out how much you could save on flowers by booking a somewhat expensive venue – you might be surprised by the numbers.

Buy local and seasonal

”Buying locally, in flower season, is much cheaper than [buying] imported and/or out of season flowers,” Silver said.

Rent silk flowers

“There are a few companies, like Something Borrowed Blooms, that let you rent your bouquet and boutonniere,” said elopement photographer Brianna Parks. “It’s a great option if you’re open to using silk flowers.”

Buy dried flowers

“Opting for dried rather than fresh flowers is a great option here too, as not only do they last a very long time (over two years if properly cared for), they are often more forgiving to work with, won’t spoil due to the lack watering or the right plant food, and there’s always the option of reselling them after your event, recouping some of the money you’ve spent,” Blott said.

Use potted plants instead

“I asked a couple to buy some potted ferns from Home Depot to use in the ceremony aisle,” said Helen Parsons, wedding and event planner and catering manager at The Addison. . “[It] looked amazing, then they took them home and planted them in their garden.

Get Crafty at the Dollar Store

“Buy styrofoam balls in bulk at the dollar tree or online, super glue them to your base structure and add each fake flower head into the styrofoam until you create the arrangement you want,” said lifestyle blogger Dolores Renee. “I made this for my wedding and spent about $300 total for 36 centerpieces and 12 bridesmaids bouquets and my own bouquet.”

Australia’s centre-left federal Labor government has agreed to extend the current COVID-19 health funding agreement for states until the end of the year, meaning the 50-50 funding commitment between the States and the Commonwealth, due to expire at the end of September, will remain in place.

This means the federal government will provide an additional $760 million to support Australian state and territory health systems.

The decision was announced at the first cabinet meeting of the new government and came after state premiers and chief ministers unanimously called for continued federal government commitment to funding the public health, due to continued pressures on hospital systems in their respective states and territories. .

Speaking to reporters alongside state and territory leaders on Friday, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called the talks a success.

“It was conducted in a very good spirit, a spirit of commitment, a spirit that recognized our common interests and our common goal to serve the people in our respective states and territories,” he said.

“The focus has, of course, been on the response to the health pandemic, which we know is ongoing, and in recognition of the pressure that health and hospitals continue to face, the Commonwealth has agreed to extend the COVID funding agreements until December 30 of this year.

A shortage of nurses and other healthcare personnel, comprehensive emergency services and the ramp-up of ambulances, as well as the catch-up of elective surgeries that have been postponed due to the pandemic are among the reasons why health systems across the country are strained.

Queensland Labor Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said it was a refreshing change to discuss health, noting the topic had previously been difficult to put on the agenda.

“So we are absolutely united on this and we welcome the additional funding today,” she said.

Meanwhile, New South Wales Liberal Premier Dominic Perrottet also welcomed the federal funding and the news that health reform is on the way.

“It’s something we’ve been discussing in the National Cabinet for some time, so to have the first meeting today and for that to be resolved to some extent, or extended until December, I think that’s incredibly welcome and was supported by all Prime Minister of State and Chief Minister,” he said.

Perrottet said it was also pleasing that the prime minister is focused on working with states and territories on significant health reform.

“It’s something that’s been in the basket too hard for too long,” he said.

“The lack of integration between the GP network and primary care and the public health system is a challenge that every jurisdiction faces, and working closely with the Commonwealth Government, I believe there is a great opportunity for fundamental reform in this space.”

Albanese said Prime Minister and Chief of Staff Glenn Davis’ department will conduct a review of health care funding and arrangements, with a view to health reform.

“It’s not necessarily about extra dollars,” he said, adding that it was about recognizing that there are people in the hospital system who should be cared for by their GP. local, but GPs are not available.

“The lack of nurses and health professionals in the aged care system means that many people who should be cared for at home or as elderly residents also end up in the hospital system, putting a strain on additional strain on the system.”

Albanese said that regarding the implementation of measures promised in the election to ease pressure on emergency services, such as urgent care clinics, his government will cooperate with states, including there where they are.

When asked if state funding would continue beyond December if people were still hospitalized with COVID-19, Albanese said a decision about December could not be made in June.

“That means we respond specifically to the circumstances that exist, to the pressures on state and territory health systems,” he said.

Matt Lucas and Rebel Wilson star together in ‘Bridesmaids’

Matt Lucas and Rebel Wilson played roommates in a movie — then turned it into reality.

The Little Britain comedian who’s playing tonightWho Do You Think You Are?, starred as the American actress’ brother in the 2011 hit comedy Bridesmaids.

This led people to believe that they might be related in real life, married or even the same person.

“We played roommates so well in Bridesmaids that we were like, ‘Yeah, we’re gonna do this for real,'” Rebel explained on Conan in September 2012.

They had a great time living together, but maybe it was too much fun as they received an anonymous letter from a neighbor which Rebel described as “a little disturbing”.

“Dear neighbour, I live somewhere behind you,” she read, confessing that the first line was “weird.”

The neighboring resident threatened to phone the police if they kept making noise late at night – and they noticed Matt’s British accent.

Wilson continued: “I’m glad you’re enjoying your new pool and hot tub, but I’m trying to sleep. I can hear everything you say, even British accents. If you keep making noise after 10 p.m. I’ll call the cops. We have rules here in West Hollywood, seriously.”

Wilson paused to explain that “seriously” was underlined, then continued reading, “And stop singing Annie show tunes. You’re both way too old to be considered orphaned children.” The Sunshine will come out tomorrow” – yeah, and the cops too!”

The letter ended with a “welcome to the neighborhood” message, but you didn’t see the message for a week because they didn’t know where the mailbox key was.

She joked, “At least we mixed it up a bit. We did Oklahoma!, Little Shop of Horrors, Fiddler on the Roof…the neighbors don’t like it.”

The couple ended up living together for three years – but surprisingly, they never got on each other’s nerves.

“We never really argued about anything, not even the basics,” Matt told the BBC in September 2015, explaining that she would load the dishwasher and he would unload.

Matt said: “I think we just didn’t have that, it was a really interesting thing with Rebel because we met and we were cast as siblings (in 2011’s Bridesmaids ) and people thought we were brother and sister, husband and wife, the same person or all three.

“But when we met it was like complete synchronicity, we’re both very laid back and we’re also very driven professionally and I see that in her and she sees that in me but we’re not competitive because we just enjoy each other working.”

After three glorious years, Rebel moved on after making the “decision to become a big movie star and buy a house”.

However, the showbiz pals remained “buddy buddies” as Matt split his time between London and California.

Matt added: “It means she doesn’t sneeze anymore because I think she was a little allergic to my dogs, but we had fun and are still close friends.”

(

The pair have supported each other in public, with Rebel defending his longtime friend after his show Little Britain was pulled from Netflix because of its black-faced characters.

Lucas and his co-star David Williams issued an apology after it was revealed the site was dropping the show, along with other streaming services including BBC iPlayer and BritBox.

During an interview on Australian news program Studio 10, the Pitch Perfect star said: “Matt Lucas’ Little Britain show has been taken down which I just think is a bit crazy.

“They obviously played a lot of different characters on this show.”

She added of Matt: “We lived together for three years. He’s amazing…he’s the nicest, most decent human being ever!”

This week Matt gave his support to Rebel after it came out in an Instagram post

The IT Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) has again urged the Fiscal Incentives Review Board (FIRB) to reconsider its decision requiring industry employees to return to duty (RTO).

In a statement on Wednesday, Ibpap Chairman and CEO Jack Madrid said the FIRB’s 100% RTO directive for industry employees “poses a threat to the growth of the industry and remains a big challenge for industry players.”

“Additionally, a critical risk that industry players face is increased employee attrition if the WFH/hybrid work setup is not available. Therefore, even at the risk of being inflicted sanctions by the FIRB to businesses that are unable to comply with the RTO, some of these Registered Business Enterprises (RBEs) will choose to allow employees to continue working from home,” Madrid said.

The FIRB has temporarily allowed information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) companies to use telecommuting agreements without losing the incentives granted to them as ecozone locators. Arrangements were authorized until March 31.

RBEs in the IT-BPM sector have been allowed to adopt telecommuting agreements beyond the deadline, but must forfeit the tax incentives they currently enjoy.

“IT-BPM RBEs’ decision to waive their tax benefits is a difficult interim measure to meet the needs of their employees and meet the demand of customers who prefer WFH/hybrid work arrangements. As such, the industry hopes that the FIRB will soon reconsider its decision and come out in favor of the IT-BPM industry by granting its players the privilege to fully implement PEZA Letters of Authorization (LoA) on WFH,” Madrid said, making reference to the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).

The letters of agreement issued by PEZA allow IT-BPM companies to implement a 30% telework agreement until September 12, 2022.

“This has allowed companies to adapt to strong employee preferences and execute a smooth, phased return to onsite operations in the immediate term before a permanent telecommuting/hybrid work policy is established,” Madrid said.

He noted that the IT-BPM industry continues to be a major economic pillar of the Philippines, employing a total of 1.44 million people and generating $29.49 billion in service export revenue at the end of 2021.

Madrid noted that growth prospects for 2022 and the medium term are also optimistic provided favorable conditions are maintained.

“To retain and expand existing investments and encourage the influx of new investments, the country’s regulatory and investment policies must be clear and consistent. Consistency and clarity in the implementation of government regulations are key to defending our competitiveness at the national level,” Madrid said.

He noted that the terms and conditions of investment registrations must be honored and adhered to, including the granting of tax and non-tax incentives.

Composer Takeharu Ishimoto has share a new arrangement of the iconic track “Calling” by the world ends with you. This iteration of the song is acoustic with vocal incorporation by the singer Stephanie Topalian. An acoustic version of this song was uploaded earlier this year before being private, as it was likely accidental. However, this new upload was officially tweeted by Ishimoto, so this version will definitely not be removed.

You can listen to the acoustic vocal version of “Calling” from the world ends with you below:

If you missed it, check out our great review on NEO: The world ends with you Nintendo Switch version. We also shared our thoughts on the PC port of the title.

The story of NEO: The World Ends with You takes place in Shibuya. However, the main protagonist, Rindo, felt like something was wrong, which leads him to witness a psychic battle at the center of the Scramble Crossing. It was then that he discovered the “reaper game”. Unfortunately, this game comes with some potentially deadly rules: You cease to exist if you don’t win. So now Rindo and his friend Fret are battling against other players to find a way back home.

NEO: The World Ends with You is currently available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store. Buyers of the PC version will automatically receive the ‘Legendary Threads Set’ DLC and ‘Reapers’ Game Survival Set’, which are useful gear.
